    awaiting official notificationDetails and source

Basant 2027 dates still await a Deputy Commissioner notification. The official Basant portal and the Punjab government's latest announcement (30 September 2026) give 29 January to 7 February 2027, excluding 5 February for Kashmir Day. These replaced the 12–14 March 2027 dates announced in August, which the portal's code of conduct still lists as tentative; a return to March was reported on 4 October 2026 but has not been notified.

Pakistani mobile like 03XX XXXXXXX, or an international number starting with +.

Count everyone, hosts and guests: it sets the package size and whether the roof can hold them safely.

We serve Lahore District only. All orders are collected from our shop.

Leave it blank if you're waiting for the official festival dates.

Are the roof walls or grills at least 3.5 feet high?

The Basant rules require it. Not sure? Say so and we'll check it with you.

Roof size, which floor, or whether you'd like help setting up.

We use these details only to reply to this request.

What rooftop rules apply at Basant 2027?

Walls or grills at least 3.5 feet high, a sound roof repaired by 30 December 2026, a first-aid kit, and no more people than the roof can safely hold; loud music, DJ systems and aerial firing are banned.

  • Walls and grills: at least 3.5 feet high along every edge people can reach. Check yours before you book: a roof without them can't be used for kite flying.
  • First aid: every kite-flying location must keep a first-aid kit, and every package includes one.
  • Capacity: no more guests than the roof can safely hold; a gathering above the permitted number needs an NOC.
  • Noise: loud music, DJ systems and noise makers such as the baja (باجا) are banned, so our packages never include speakers.
  • Children: under-18s were barred from flying kites in 2026, so plan for children to watch, with one adult keeping them well back from the edge.
  • Responsibility: building owners and organisers answer for any accident, so check the roof before the first guest arrives.

What if your roof walls are too low?

Raise the munder (منڈیر) or fix a grill before 30 December 2026; until the roof meets the rule it can't be used for kite flying.

Measure from the roof floor to the top of the wall at its lowest point, including stair landings and any raised platform people can stand on. Unsafe rooftops are banned outright, however high their walls, so have a mason look at cracks, damp or loose bricks too.

Who are rooftop packages for?

Families hosting relatives, overseas Pakistanis flying in for Basant, and offices, societies and groups hosting a roof for their people.

If you are flying in for the festival, you can send your request from abroad and collect the package at our shop after you land, or have someone in Lahore collect it with the order code. For staff gifts rather than a roof, see corporate kits.

When should you book a rooftop package?

As early as you can, because festival stock and packing time are limited; the festival dates are awaiting notification (official portal: 29 Jan – 7 Feb 2027).

We confirm packages and take any advance only while we hold a Punjab seller certificate and the sales window is open. Shop address: coming soon; we'll publish it once our certificate is issued, and pickup instructions come with your confirmed package.

Frequently asked questions

Do rooftop packages include music or a sound system?

No. Loud music, DJ systems and other noise makers are banned on Basant rooftops, so we never supply them.

How high must my roof walls be?

At least 3.5 feet, and the roof must be structurally sound. Owners must finish safety work by 30 December 2026.

Is a first-aid kit included?

Yes. Every kite-flying location must keep a first-aid kit for Basant 2027, and every package includes one.

Do I need to register my rooftop?

In 2026, every rooftop or premises hosting kite flying had to be registered with the Lahore district administration through the Basant portal, and quick response teams checked registrations and rooftop safety during the festival. The official Basant 2027 portal again offers rooftop registration through eBiz Punjab; the 2027 notification will confirm who must use it.

Do you deliver or set up rooftop packages?

No. We sell in person only: you collect your package from our registered shop in Lahore, and we don't deliver or set up on site. Basant 2027 is permitted in Lahore only. It is not a Punjab-wide festival; the Home Department called a circulating province-wide notification fake.
