About Lahori Kites
Lahori Kites is a Lahore-only Basant shop and information site. Right now we publish verified Basant 2027 rules and market prices; we'll sell compliant kites, cotton dor and safety gear only after our Punjab seller certificate is issued.
What do we do before sales open?
We keep every Basant date, rule, size and price as a fact with a source and a last-verified date, in English and Urdu. When a notification changes something, we update that fact once and every page that uses it changes with it.
What will we never sell?
Anything on the banned list:
Banned: metallic wire; nylon string (tandi); glass-coated or chemically coated string; sharp maanjha; the charkhi spool reel; kites or string above the permitted size; loud music, DJ sound systems and other noise makers such as baja and whistles; aerial firing.

We also won't sell laser lights. They aren't on the legal banned list, but they put aircraft over Lahore at risk.
Why can't we sell yet?
Kite and string manufacturers, traders and sellers must register with the Deputy Commissioner through the Basant portal. Manufacturer registration for 2027 opened on 5 September 2026, and manufacturers need a no-objection certificate (NOC) before production. Sellers, traders and associations are expected to register in January or February 2027. The DC verifies applications within 10 days, and a registration is valid for one year.

Basant 2027 is permitted in Lahore only. It is not a Punjab-wide festival; the Home Department called a circulating province-wide notification fake.
